Yesterday. Over 50 persons, it is believed are buried in the debris of two large three-storeyed business pre- mises, which have suddenly col- Lapsed.

Bodies Being Recovered

It is suspected the collapse was due to the excavations next door in¦ preparation of a new building.

Most of the buried are probably women and girls. Two bodies of negroes have been brought out.

The rescuers plainly saw two white women among the tons of. masonry and timber.

Lahore, Yesterday. The conspiracy trial here was abruptly adjourned when it was found that the hunger-striker Dutt had a high temperature and could not be moved into the Court. Dutt declined to be represented by coun- gel in his absence.

Bagat Singh, who is also hunger- striking, teld counsel that he and Dutt refused the special diet per- mitted.

Fourteen other prisoners have now been on hunger-strike for three days, in sympathy with Dutt and Bagat Singh. Reuter:

Canton, Yesterday. The Canton authorities are to pay attention to enlisted men of the Canton Army who were wounded in the late Kwangtung-Kwangsi War. It is most likely that an emergency hospital will be open- ed. There used to be an emer- geney hospital located at the Eighth Bannermen's Hall, on the Bund, Canton, within the ammuni- tion store; but since the explosion and the destruction of the com- pound several weeks ago, the poor wounded have been without a place of refuge-Nan Chung Kuo News Service.
