Hero Awaits Death

One must be grateful to the enterprise of Mr. Peter Godfrey and his Gate Theatre Studió in presenting a play which no other London theatre would venture to touch. It is certainly a

good thing that these "plays of the day after to-morraw" should have some sort of a showing here, but one must be allowed to hope that the masterpieces of the future will be on less eccentric lines. J. G. B. in "Evening News"

I am very glad to see that Mr. Eugene Goossens's opera "Judith" is to be given next season at Covent Garden. -I have watched him at work on the score, which is a miracle of neatness, and have heard him play some of it over on the piano.
