The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, the Hon. Secretary read a correspondence between the Association and the Government with regard to the proposal put forward by a group of residents for the development of Laichikok beach for bathing purposes.

The Government in their reply stated that this proposal had not been approved as the provision of a public bathing beach was being considered by the Government, and that the Government had now approved the erection of public bathing sheds, etc. It was decid- ed to request information from the Government as to whether the Rotter-work would be completed in time for the facilities to be available this season.
