THE FARTHING BREAKFAST-At the Salvation Army's hall, Camberwell, London, poor children can secure a breakfast consisting of porridge, cocoa, bread and jam and a bun, all for a farthing. TROUBLE IN INDIA.-Alarming news has come through from India again and here is a photo showing how order is maintamed. Riots were caused by false rumours spread by mischief makers to the effect that Pathans were kidnapping children. About 140 people were killed and 800 injured. SPEED MOTOR BOATING ON THE THAMES. Messrs. Thornycroft, the famous shipbuilding firm, give a de monstration of their 140 h.p. "Sea Hawk speed boat at Westminster, London. These speed boats, which travel at 35 miles per hour, carry 12 passengers and are designed for use at seaside resorts. Above is a striking picture of the "Sea Hawk" at speed.— (Sport and General).
SEASON'S FIRST MOTOR-CYCLE MEETING-At Crystal Palace, London. Competitors were numerous for the eleventh meeting held on the road course by the Crystal Lalace Motor Cycle Racing Club.
