CHINA NEWS, LOCAL NEWS

and all the NEWS. The Weekly paper that saves you the trouble of writing Home.

China is in the throes of Civil War again. If not involved directly in hostilities, Britons and other non-Chinese have been adversely affected by the check to trade and by the demand by some of the leaders concerned for contributions to the War chest.

Because one side has its centre in Canton, Hong Kong is bound to hold more interest than it did, say, in the march on Peking.

Both from an academic and business point of view, people at Home will be wanting to know what is happening and what the Chinese are fighting about. The best-informed, the best-connected, and the most easily followed "story" is in the "Overland China Mail," the weekly edition of the "China Mail"" and the only illustrated weekly news budget published in Hong Kong. Be sure to get a copy-and post-it- in time.

In the Colony itself, there has been much of importance. Reviews of trade are given in reports of several company meetings and all the local news of the week will be found as usual. This number of the "Overland" is well worth sending away if only for the variety and quality of the pictures in it
