On resuming, the Recreio again took up the offensive and Police defence were harassed by the re- peated attacks of their combined forward line, the three outstand- ing players of whom were un doubtedly the brothers Gosano and Ward, who had a perfect un- derstanding of each others' play. As a direct result of this combin- ation, A. Gosano netted for the second time from a close-in shot, which left Clarke helpless, in spite of a creditable effort on that player's part.
