GERMANY AND THE TEST
MATCH
The Germany professors, who are the spiritual rulera of Germany, are much perturbed about the fate of German "kaltur." The warning of Dr. Oppenheimer is strangely re- miniscent of Mr. Kipling's "flan- nelled fool and muddied oaf.":-
"In my youth Germany had too little aport; now she has too much. Every day we hear of amateurs turning professionals. On the other hand, more and more men who call themselves aportamen, only look on while others toil.
