There was a "full tent" by 9 p.m., and the cheaper seats were sold out fully half-an-hour before the start- ing time. When the first item was put on promptly at 9.15 even standing room could not be secured, and many had reluctantly to be turned away.

The Clowns, Etc.

The Funmakers then took the ring and greatly amused young and old alike. Then the trained elephant "Gemas" and a pony "Bunny" did a waltz in good time to music by the Circus Band.

Mrs. Harmston with her educated cockatoos presented a very interest- ing item.

In succession followed W. Jenkins, the bounding jockey, the Mackie Sisters, Wire Walkers, and 0. Delroy, hoop spinning and Club Juggling in which he was ably as alated by the Clown Filia.

All the performers presented their turns with an ease which was delightful to watch.

Mr. Harmston with his six grey horses, all well trained and very in telligent, closed the first half of the programme.

The second half was opened by the Nelson Trio with thrilling flying stunts on the high trapeze done with the precision of clock-work. They wore followed by the Delroys (man and woman) in some amazing trick cycling stunts, and the Jenkins Trio (two women and a man) with a pot pourri trapeze item in which the ladies performed some fast spins hanging by the back of the neck and by the teeth, respectively, from the "Memories of Schubert," swivel.

"Boy" the Australian horse did some clever stunts with a handker-"Under the Double Eagle," chief, and threw the Clown out when "High School Cadets," Mr. Harmston ordered him to do so. The Nelsons followed with some clever hat throwing stunts, and then Hasen, the intrepid Jayaness Trainer closed the programme with His pets from the jungle two lions, a tiger and a leopard which obeyed his every bidding like dogs.

The show is well worth seeing, and last night's audience was de- lighted. The management will no doubt nee to it that those in front are not subjected to so much dust as was unfortunately the case, last night.
