A reward of £100 was announced for the recovery of a pearl necklace with a diamond snap. which was liost-on Jan. 4 between the West-end and Albert-court, Kensington. The necklace, which belongs to Mrs. K. ¡Salmon, of Kensington, is valued at
about £1,600.
Messrs. Tyler and Company, of Holborn-viaduct, E.C., offer a re- ward of £85 to the first person giv- ing information that will lead to the arrest of the thieves and the recovery of jewellery which was istolen from a house near Leather-
head.

The land forms part of the ori ginal estate of John Lyon, the yeo- man, of Preston, who was grant ed letters patent and a Royal Char- ter by Queen Elizabeth, "for the foundation of a free grammar school at Harrow." It is at present part of the holding of Lyon Færni.
