NAVY OVERWHELM SOUTH CHINA
SOME KEEN GAMES
Saturday's football sensation was provided at Caroline Hill, where the Navy, playing in great form, soundly defeated South China, whose defence crumpled up. badly. The Police could not get one point against the Club, faulty finishing robbing them of the other.
Kowloon, who seem to be strik- ing better form, did well to beat Recreio. Queen's and K.O.S.B. played a stern drawn game at Sookumpoo.

QUEEN'S REGT, v. K.O.Š.D.
At Sookumpoo on Saturday, be- fore a good crowd, Queen's, and K.O.S.B. shared two goals after a dour struggle in which the result was in doubt right up to the final whistle. Both teams were at full strength, and lined up as fol- lows:-
Queen's: - Dodis; Hooper, Sharp; Byrne, Hill, Cantor; Larkin, Richardson, Warner, Barclay, and Caldicutt:
K.O.S.B. McDougall; Reeves, Martin; Gear, Davey, Skiggs; Torrie, Stock, Everest, Glinchey, and Alexander.

The Borderers set the ball roll- ing and made ground as the result of a free kick, McGlinchey testing Dodds from long range. Queen's soon got into their 'stride, and McDougall saved smartly from Richardson and Barclay. Caldi- cutt and Barclay next worked through with some pretty short passes, and the former's centre was wasted through Richardson misjudging the ball. There was no lack of thrust on the part of either attack, but Queen's were well on top at this stage, although Martin and Reeves defended grandly. Offside against Richard- son spoilt a good chance" when Warner was going right-through, and Barclay sent in a fast ground shot which jumped up and hit McDougall, the goalie being rather lucky to clear.

The Borderers livened up through Torrie Dodds snving

Three minutes from the interval Cantor tackled Stock and ran on to cen- tre, and Larkin crushed the ball into the net with a glorious first timer. The Borderers set up a hot attack right up to the inter- val, Torric missing from close
range.

The Borderers began to assume the upper hand at this stage, but Hill and Sharp were playing a magnificent game in the Queen's defence and repeatedly saved the situation. Torrie even- tually got clear away and centred right across the goalmouth, McGlinchey having an easy task to convert K.O.S.B. went away at a great pace from the kick-off and bombarded the Queen's goal for a prolonged period, Dodds

The opponents,
Welsh backa handled well but they met with a very, stout defence.
Early in the S. game, the English half-backs starti ed a movement and passed to C. D. 8. Aarvold (Cambridge), who cleverly dodged his opponents and sent on to Wilkinson to score a try which
was not converted. Wales failed to score in the Arst, half and at the interval England led by three points to nil.
The Welsh attack was very pro- minent in the first eight minutes of the second half until the English backs began a movement. Whitley passed to Laird (Harlequins), who came through brilliantly, and when stopped, gave an easy opening to Wilkinson to score another try, which Wilson converted..
Wales then played a dashing game and Morley, gathering in the loose, made a fine slanting run to score an unconverted try for Wales. The latter continued to force the game and Powell, Welsh half- back, dropped a goal but the whistle had already gone.
