BUILDING ORDER

The Blue Star Line has placed with Palmer's Shipbuilding and Iron Company, of Hebburn-on- Tyne, an order for a new 12,000- Diesel vessel for its South Ameri can service. The new ship, which will cost over $400,000, will be 485 feet long and 68 feet broad, with engines of 9,000 h.p. to give a speed of 16 knots. The keel of the vessel, which is the first motorship to be ordered by the Blue Star Line, will be laid im-
