The annual meeting of the American University Club was held at the American Club, where a dinner was held. The speakers on the occasion were Mr. Sun Fo, Minister of Railways, and the Rev. E. W. Lugcock, Pastor of Community Church. Mr. Luther M. Jee, General Manager of the Peacock Motion Picture Corporation, was selected" President while Dr. Charles E. Patton of the Presbyterian Mission, was elected Vice-President for the ensuing year. (Ah Fung).

Large crowds of spectators lined the thoroughfares when the Shanghal Volunteer Corps, in its first route march of the season, passed down Bubbling Well-road, along Avenue Haig Avenue Foch and Mohawk-road, starting and anding at the Race Courae. In the line of march were the Light Horse (upper right), the American Troop, the Field Artillery Battery, the Light Gun Battuary, the Engineer Company, Armoured Car Company, Companies "A" and "B," the Shanghai Scottish, the Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, American and Russian Companies, and No. 1.and No. 2 Companies of the Russian Detachment, the semi-regulars. The Band of the 2nd Batt. Suffolk Regiment, drid Pipers of the 2nd Batt. Scots Guards (upper left) played during the march(Ali Fong),
