Sir K.C.M.G. renewed efforts have been made to develop the direct trade between New Zea land and Liverpool. It will be remembered that during Sir James' visit. he was the guest of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board, who took the opportunity of show ing him the new Gladstone Docks and the facilities of the port for the handling of New Zealand produce.
