LAWYER REJECTS ADVICE. OF MR. PUNCH

HONEYMOON AT BAGUIO

Mr. Denis Henry Binke, a prin- cipal in the firm of Messrs. Wilkinson & Grist, solicitors, etc., and secretary of the Hong Kong Law Society, was married yester- day in St. John's Cathedral be- fore a group of friends.

The bride was Miss Elizabeth Gwen Williams of the Medical De partment. She wore a dress of ivory charmeuse trimmed with old lace, a veil of tulle and an orange blossom wreath. Her bouquet was of hyacinths.

The Dean, the Very Rev. A. Swann, officiated.

The Misses Morrison and Alwyn Owen Hughes were bridesmaids, in dresses of blue georgette. They carried pink roses.

The Hon. Mr. J. Owen Hughes gave the bride away. Mr. G. S. Hugh-Jones was best man.

HOTEL CASES

QUESTION OF HONESTY IN DIVORCE

LESS COLLUSION

Lord Merrivale, the President: of the Divorce Division, after dis- posing of a number of what have become known as "hotel cases," remarked that it was satisfactory to see that certain comments from the Bench had been taken note of by the profession as to the folly of presenting cases depend- ent upon either admitted adultery or pretended adultery at an hotel. He referred to petitions that might, in fact, be fictitious.

Now the cases presented to the court were manifestly honest cases, in which there was no rea- sonable ground for suspecting col- lusion between the parties, which was the sole object of the court.
