MR. E. R. DOVEY GETS A MENTION

Mr. Justice Jacks (Puisne Judge) supported the special jury at the Carvalho Yeo trial in the Criminal Sessions this morning when the foreman alleged that while evidence was being given for the Crown, other witnesses who might be called for the Crown were pre- sent. •

J

The foreman said that he drew the Court's attention to the matter, not in any spirit of criticism, but only to ensure that the proper procedure as the jurors understood it had not been violated. His Lordship observed that, strictly speaking, Mr. T. H. King, Director of Criminal Intelligence, should not have been in Court (until he was called), as stated by the jury.
