There are no 1st Division League matches this week owing to the playing of the semi-final in the Lai Wah Cup between the Civilians and Chinese.

..

The "Lai. Wah" Cup was presented by the Lai Wah Company in 1925 for competition on the knock-out, system between teams representing Navy, Army, Civilians und Chinese and the first semi-final this year was won by Army, who defeated Navy, after the Army had given a brilliant display, by five goals to nil, The Army will meet the winners of to-morrow's match in the Final.

XI, which contains only 1wo of South China, which latter Club possesses several other very promising players, while the Civilian side is quite representative of the Clubs of the Colony and moreover a very strong eleven. The combination of the Chinese should stand them - in good stead and the match

should be very exciting.

Seeing the moderate. form the Civilian Clubs have shown to date compared with the very bright showing of the Chinese Clubs so far this season, form points to a win for the Chinese, but the Civil- ian side contains the cream of four good sides, und if the select- ed. side takes the field they should enter the Final.

The Junior programme is re- stricted and wins for K.O.S.B. Res., R.A.F., South China A University and Navy, all home teams, can be predicted with a fair amount of safety.
