CELEBRATE LEAGUE WIN AT KING'S PARK

PRIZES DISTRIBUTED

The Club de Recreio, whose "A" team are this season's champions in the "B" division of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls League, were "At Home" on the Club's green at King's Park on Saturday afternoon to officials of the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association, representatives of other Clubs in the League, and friends of the Recrelo.

Bowls was played against mem- bars of the visiting Association and League Clubs, and a fine after noon's sport was enjoyed by the gathering, which included many ladies. Tea was served during the afternoon on the Club's fine lawns,

After the bowls, the League trophy was handed over by Mrs. B. Wylie to Recreio "A" team amid much applause.

Continuing, Mr. Wylle said that he did not know of any other Kowloon D.R.C. Club that played so many games, C. Atkinson as did Club de Recreio. They had, W. Greig at one time and, another, been J. Lindsay Champions of the Football League and also the Tennis League.

Lawn bowlers of the Club de Recreio were engaged on six rinks. On the fifth rink officials of the Hong Kong Bowls Association op- posed and defeated a team of the home side by 20 shots to 11.. Other Recreio opponents, drawn from various other Clubs in the Lawn Bowls League, won on three of the remaining five rinks,

The occasion of the presentation of the H.M. Dockyard Shield to the Club de Recrelo, was W. Bickford made all the more meritorous in W. Nicholson that it was the first year in which C.
