Nowmarket, Yesterday. Sir Abe Balley, who has been racing in England for nearly 85 years, is giving up the turf owing to ill-health. His 19 yearlings and 42 horses in training were auction- ed to-day and sold for an aggre- gate of 86,450 guineas. A smart colt by Chaucer out of Reef made the top price of 7,800 guineas, and was purchased by Capt. Hector Mac-Donald.—Reuter.
