(Continued from Page 4) The Air Force now took the game in hand and tries 'by Carey, Gallacher and Greenslade almost counted, the cross bar coming to the air of Rocha on more than one occasion.
At this stage play quietoned down considerably and the game centred round the middle of the feld, the respective rear divisions having the upper hand of the for
wards.
End to end play continued to the end, the Royal Air Force run. ning out good winners of a scrappy game.

THE CHINA MAIL,
RA. v. NAVY, The Navy were at home to R.A. and after being a goal in arrear at the interval, finished up win- nera by five goals to one. After the first quarter of an hour, in which Maddock scored for the Artillery, the Navy were always the better team, and the Gunners had to thank their defence that they were still leading at the ¡interval.

KOWLOON v. UNIVERSITY
This match was played at
Kowloon. At the start the play featured around mid-field with an occasional burst by the home for wards. The University defence, however, were at their best and easily accounted for the attacks.
End to end play continued for some time when Kowloon began to take the game in hand. After a series of shots at the visitors! goal Davies missed a golden op- portunity through over eager- ness. If he had only taken his time, having an open goal in front of him, his side would have been one up at this stage.
This let-off seemed to put heart into the 'Varsity men who, by long swinging passes, took the home defence by storm again.
No scoring took place this half, the lack of a shooting forward in both teams being the cause.

The game opened out more in the second half and by good, lusty The sailors put up a strong at-kicking Kowloon were soon on the tack right from the kick off, and aggressive, the visiting backs the R.A. defence began to break having a hard time to keep their down under the strain. but the shooting of their forwards left much to be desired, and East- ern were well served by Ram, who played a fine sound game in goal. All four goals were scored in the first half, Haroon opening the account for Eastern, while Ward equalised for Recreio. Eastern went ahead again through Chan Yuk-cheung, while Ward brought the scores level for the second time with a splendid shot.

Play fell off a lot after the in- terval, and neither goal-keeper was seriously troubled. Fernan- dez was distinctly unlucky with a fast cross shot from a difficult
sure.
During a scrimmage in front of the home goal the ball was push- ed over the line by one of the Kowloon players, thus allowing University to get on top.
At this stage Kowloon were very hard pressed and only by good work on the part of Angus and his backs were they able to keep the scoring down,
