Competitions.-The Club Cham- pionship was left rather late in thei year. Consequently it had to be rushed through. However, it was fought out between our best players.

At the start, Johstore led the "feld," but Leung went in front in the second length, closely fol lowed by Morokuma who also passed Johnstone. From this point, the race developed into a struggle for supremacy between these two, the Chinese managing to shake the Japanese off when only a few feet from the finishing point. Leung touched the bath wall 1.1/5 secs. before Moro- kuma, whilst Johnstone was a fraction of a second behind the Roza Japanese in third place.
