NOTICE TO CONSIGNEES.

When, questioned, she fearfully said that she was going to see her auntie in America. She had walked from her home in Litherland, a dis- tance of four miles, in order to sail on the big ship.

Crying bitterly, a very disappoint- ed little girl was placed on a tram- car, and the conductor saw to her: safe return home.

Her grief will be assuaged, and she will consider her attempt to board the linar well worth her while as the White Star Line have sent her a jig-saw puzzle and some pictures of their ships.

So her four mile trek to the ves- sel was not entirely without reward.
