Breaks Endurance Swim Record.

Mrs. Lee Fourrier, 36, the mother of two children, who swain continuously in Colton, Cal, pool for 56 hours, 56 minutes, 30 seconds, thus breaking the world's endurance swimming record. The previous mark was 54 hours, 26 minutes. Photo shows Mrs. Fourrier being fed with long-handled dipper of gruel.

Two Studies of

Husband-Slayer.

Here are two interesting photos of Mrs. Frances Kirkwood, Long Island City, L. I, housewife. who, maddened at stories of her husband's alleged infidelity, wounded him so severely with a kitchen knife that he died later in a hospital. Her lawyer puts forwards the novel defence that Kirkwood died from the results of an operation after the stabbing, and not from the wound inflicted by his client, ... The pictures were snapped in court.

Hurdler at Stamford Bridge.

The above photo shows J. Ander son, crack hurdler of United States Olymple team, winning the 400- metre hurdles at Stamford Bridge, in the contest between the Olympic teams of Great Britain and the States. The athlete scored heavily at Amsterdam.
