Association football in the light
The two-day cricket match on the of searchlights proved an interest Club ground between teams captain- ing experiment at Sockumpoo lasted ly Messrs. R. Hancock and A. W. night, as a sequel to the Grand Tattoo, when the Combined Chinese of the Colony defented the Army by four goals to two.
About two thousand spectators were present and the receipts will thus be swelled accordingly. Those present had the unusual feeling of being able to watch the ball as It travelled on the ground but not when it went higher than the beams of light.
