EXCELLENT SPORT

THE CHINA MAIL,

The large attendance of parenta, friends and others interested in the school, were entertained to keen aport at the swimming gain of the Garrison School, held in the swim- ming pool of the Victoria Recrea- tion Club, on Saturday.

Most of the events were well sup ported, and all provided fine swira ming, but the thing that was ob: vious to the spectator was the tre- mendous enthusiasm displayed by. the children.

Special mention must be made of the high diving event, which two contestants, William Murray and "Ginger" Crossan, tied. In the re- sultant, re-dive, the two again tied, but in the final single divo, Murray managed to win by a few points. Their diving was splendid.

Mrs. Luard, wife of H. E. the General Officer Commanding (Major-General C. C. Latard, C.B., C.M.G.), presented the prizes and thanks were cordially tendered to the friends of the School who con- tributed to the School Prize Funds

or gave prizes.
