HER RESPONSIBILITY.

This much is certain: that i capital is essential for evolution. It is often thought that capital or the accumulation of wealth is a recent human discovery. It was the discovery of capital which made civilisation possible. In a recent book ("Concerning Man's Origin") I have sought to show that Nature discovered the uses of capital at any early stage in the! development of life, and that her; bighest productions, including man himself, are the result of this dis- covery. Without capital, there can! be no progressive evolution.- "John O'London's Weekly."
