£2,000 FUR ROBBERY.
CITY CLERK ATTACKED.
Throw men were being sought recently by Scotland Yard and City detectives following an at- tack on a City clerk and a robbery of furs valued at £2,000. \
The injured man, who, after treatment at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, was able to go home, is Mr. Alfred Clarke, aged 20, of Walthamstow. He is employed by Messrs. A. R. Hare, of Little Britain, E.C.
After he had opened the office he went downstairs. As he was returning he received a violent blow on the back of the head, which knocked him unconscious.
Later it was discovered that fiye sacks of furs were missing. It is believed that three men were concerned in the raid.
