At present the N.Y.K. Line have ten sallings a year from this port to South Africa and the east coast of South America; it is now an- nounced that as the result of their having also placed the a.a. "Bingo Maru" on this service, there will be in future a regular monthly sailing with the following six steamers:
8.8. "Kamakura Maru," 5,846 gross tons; 8.8. "Bingo Maru," 6,047 gross tons; s.s. "Kawachi Maru," 5,798 gross tons; 8.8. "Kanagawa Maru" 5,853 gross tona; ss. "Hakata Maru," 6,798 gross tons; 8.8. "Wakasa Maru," 6,070 gross tons.
This augmented service will com- mence with s.s. "Kamakura Maru," sailing hence on July 12 to be fol- lowed by "Bingo Maru" on August 2, thereafter one sailing each month, the calling ports being aa follows: Singapore, Mombasa, Delagon Bay, Durban, Algoa Bay, Cape Town, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Monte Video and Buenos Aires.

JUNKMEN ERR.
SEVERAL BEFORE THE MARINE COURT.
Charged with committing, the offence of unlawfully mooring their trading crafts less than 100 yards from the low water mark, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 a.m., aine junkmen were on Satur- day morning, before Commdr. J. B. Newill D.S.O., R.N., at the Marine Court, fined $10 or 10 days'' ins- prisonment. Lance Sorgt. Bowers, of the Water Police, lodged the charge.
Pleading guilty to a charge of committing a breach of his cargo licence by carrying passengers, Cheung Sing, master of a passen- ger junk, was fined $10 or in de- fault 10 days' hard labour. Lance Sergeant Elliott made the arrest.
