GENERAL REVIEW.
(By "Bins.")
the
Given a dry day to-morrow we ought to get a fair index of the comparative strength of various combinations in both divi- sions. Civil Service are, if any thing, a bit stronger this week, and at home on a very true green
ought to account for the Bowling Green Club, though I hear that the Bowling Green Club's Green is not up to concert pitch and that rather discounts Craigengower's win last week.
Kowloon Dock's visit to the valley will let us know exactly how strong Craigengower is, and I shall be surprised if the home side win.
Taikoo also visit the Valley to play the Police, and will find themselves up against a side de- termined to retrieve last week's slip.
In the Second Division Kow- loon Bowling Green are almost certain to take the points from Craigengower, and there-is-no chance of their being a man short on their own Green as they were at the Valley last week. They have one very strong rink with Hall as skip and Silkstone No. 3. and the other two very nicely bal- anced.
The Yacht Club were outplayed Just week and must put up a better show to-morrow if they are to be reckoned with at all. Taikoo will find the Club de Recreio (B) with their tails up her their having accounted for K.C.C. last week Taikoo will have to be care- ful.
The Reercio (A), after a splen- did game against East Point just week, will do their best to emulate their "B" team and repeat the success against the K.C.C.
The
K.C.C. second string are mostly new to the league and will prob- ably take some time to find their feet.
If
A very interesting "Extra" game will be that it Kowloon.be- tween K.C.C. first and Civil Ser- vice second. The Civil Servants are experimenting with their team I notice from the list of players and I hardly think they are as strong as last week. They come back with the laurels on Saturday night my forecast of their winning the league will be strengthened. This "odd" match very week if it is played con- tinuously throughout the season will give us a good indication of the strength of the Second Divi- sion.
