THIS MORNING'S RETURN.

A total rather below the average is recorded at the Harbour Office this morning, for cargo imported to the Colony in the time review ending 9. am. being shipped by only 10 vessels of 5 nationalities, of which the British claim 3, Japanese, German and Chinese 2 each, and American 1.

The toal shown is 9,845 tons, all of which is general merchandise with the exception of 4,000 tons of coal.

To the above amount British vessel arrived 960 tons. Cargo be- ing shipped through Hong Kong for ports beyond, amount to a respect- able total of 18,050 tons, 985 tons are being transported by one British vessel.

With regard to the figures re- gistered for cargo Imported, the best return shown is contributed by the B.8. "Shinsei Maru" from Karatau Sakito-Messers

Yama- shita & Co.-4,000 tons coal.
