Speed of 10% Knots. The vessel has been built under Lloyd'a special survey and to their highest class. The holds nre de signed to be free of all obstruc- tion, and lifebonts and life-saving apparatus are fitted to conform to the requirements of the Board of Trado and the Commonwealth Navigation Service of Austraila. She will be fitted with engines of 1,650 i.h.p, giving a sea' speed of |10%1⁄2 knots, which have been con- structed at Lilybank Engine Works. Dundee.
Not The First Bullt. The launching ceremony was at- tended by a large company of re presentatives of the owners and builders.. In proposing success to the "Kooliga" and her owners, Mr. Grant Barclay, a director of the Caledon Co., said that this was not the first ship they had bullt for Australian owners. There were several of their vessels sailing in Australian waters.
