FANLING HUNT SPRING MEETING.
GOOD BACING.
The Fanling Hunt Steeplechase (Spring Meeting) which took place at the steeplechase course, Kwanti, on Saturday afternoon, attracted quite a good crowd in spite of the threatening weather earlier in the day.
By the time the first race had' startel, at 3 p.m., the mist had lifted, and although there was a rather chilly wind blowing with the sum having an occasional "peep in. the weather conditions were not adverse for the enjoy- ment of sport.
The racing was quite good on the whole, and there were some fine close and exciting finishes. The only thing which marred the meeting was the accident to Dur-
