SHIELD SOCCER.

WINS FOR KOWLOON 'AND
POLICE.
Mand
MILITARY VICTORIES.
Shield soccer was taken a step further on Saturday when four games in each division were play- ed. All were fought to a decision. The senior matches provided some fine football, and perhaps the most surprising result was Kow- loon's victory over the Air Force by two clear goals. The Artillery managed to beat the Guards, and the Police, fielding a strong team, knocked out last year's cham plona, the Recreio. The Kosbies got the better of the Athletic.
In the Junior division of the Shield competition Kowloon gain- ed another victory at the expense of the Scots Guards and the Kosbies swamped the Recreio to the tune of seven goals to nil.
There was only one League fix- ture, a junior "B" match between Kowloon and China Athletic.
A free fight between members of two Chinese teams and much excitement in one or two of the big matches characterised the afternoon's play.
