In which some good tennis was ex-V. hibited on both sides. There were some very exciting exchanges in the arst twelve games played, the match each pair taking the upper hand for being a ding-dong struggle with

a while only to be overhauled by their opponents.

After six-all was called, Major and Mrs. Lucas asserted themselves, but met with dogged opposition which forced them to go all out to secure the next two games and the set. A feature of the last two

games was the forceful smashing by Major Lucas, some of which com- pletely beat the opposing pair and gathered in the much needed points to make the game sure.
