THE CHINA MAIL,

H.K.C.C. v. NAVY. The Hong Kong C.C. got rid of the Royal Navy for the small total of 49 runs in the frat innings in their two-day match and bad made 122 for 3. wickets when stumps were drawn.

The Navy batting failed com- pletely against the bowling of Leach and Wales, the Intter's slow deliveries being particularly effec- tive. In taking six wickets, Wales gave away only 21 runs. Leach's analysis was 8 for 27.

Of the three Club batsmen who were out, Moor (26) was top scor er, Leach (28) and Pearce (89) both being undefeated, took the score from 57 to -122 rs. Scores:
