of which there are some half dozen in operation in the Colony, has a capacity of 1,000 Watts (about 50 lights), and provides current at 32 Volts. Its operation is entirely automatic, that is, it requires no attention in everyday operation beyond the periodical addition of fuel, oll, and water.
There was also view the "Duro" Automatic Electric Water Pumping System used
to supply water for Mysterious Faucet dis- play, and for Wash Basin-this lat ter being open to the use of the public. Water supplied to all taps under a minimum pressure of 26 lbs. This system obtained its power from the Matthews plant, and served to demonstrate how water could thus be provided under pressure. wherever desired. Its au tomatic operation was also clearly shown whenever anyone washed his hands.
The "Duro" Engine Driven Water Pumping System is used to supply water for the garden sprinkler, and to demonstrate the working pres- sures attainable with these systems. This system is driven from a specially designed and compact gasoline engine made by the makers of the pumpя. Its compactness and simplicity were very noticeable.
"Duro" Deep Well Pump. This type of pump is capable of drawing water from any depth up to 200 feet, and against heads of 160 feet. It could not be shown in operation, but was merely on exhibition.
