Rowdylem again broke out on the Hong Kong Football Club ground at Happy Valley on Satur day afternoon where the Queen's Regiment and the Chinese Athletics met in the First Division of the League.

In view of the trouble fast year, the H.K.F.C., decided this year to enclose their playing pitch and to clase the four gates as soon as the stands were filled, and this was the cause of Saturday's outbreak.

As soon as the gates were closed, latecomers amongst the Chinese; supporters attempted to force their way through in spite of the police- men in charge of the gates, and when the "crushers" were deter- minedly turned away, they began to have their own back by throwing! stones at the luckless pollesmen, three of whom were hit. In each instance the stone throwers were "spotted" and arrested.

When they were produced before Mr. R. E. Lindsell at the Central Magistracy this morning, Inspector James- explained the situation to this his Worship, and said that was the tenth case of stone throw- ing since the opening of the present He was at the Valley the season. week before, and stones were pass- ing his nose, but he was unable to locate the throwers.
