HANKOW SEEKING NEW ALLIES. "OBSCURE UNEASINESS."
Chiang Kai-shek's Return to Shanghai. LATEST WAR DEVELOPMENTS: INTRIGUE IN NATIONALIST PARTY.
Uneasiness and obscurity are the features of the situation at Hankow, the ruler of which, General Tang Seng-chi-on whom the Nanking Nationalists have declared war is trying to seek new allies after having successfully ploughed a lonely furrow for some time.
While the Nanking armies are steadily approaching territory under the control of Goneral Tang Seng-chi, reports have come through that the Hankow armies have counter-attacked.
Chinese correspondents record the return of General Chiang Kai-shek to Shanghai from Japan; and it is presumed that matters will be brought to a head in Nationalist intrigue.
