The "Lady Blake" returned to Colombo Harbour on October 20 after making her last trip to Mini- coy. Among the passengers were the German Consul, and Mrs, Schwarz.

In an interview with a "Times of Ceylon"

representative, Mrs. Schwarz said; "T have no doubt that the least trip

We had only 12 passengers on board, which made the trip like a yachting cruise. Only three were ladies: Mrs. Loudoun Shand, Mrs.) A. H. Fraser and myself. The trip was all the time so interesting that baly a single bridge-party could be brought together and it lasted for about two hours!

"Phe. only little difficulty we had was the landing at Minicoy, as there is no pier at this island, and the breakers made one feel a bit ner- Yous. But apart from getting a trife wet, nothing happened.

"The Island itself, on its frat appearance, does not much differ from some parts of Ceylon. It is covered with coconut and areca palms. The whole island with its lighthouse and the few huts visible when you approach seem to swim, as it were, in the sea.
