Messrs. Doxford to Supply Engines.
The propelling machinery for the two motor vessels for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, to be built by Messrs. Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardson Ltd., are to be Doxford-opposed piston oil engines, which are to be built at their Pallion Works. They will be of the four-cylinder balanced type, with bore of 600 [mm., and combined stroke of 2,320, together giving 8,000 h.p. Mesars. Doxford have previ- ously supplied the engines for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor vessels Port Hobart, Port Dunedin, Port Fremantle, and Port Gisborne, and these, to- gether with their present order, amount to twelve engines with a total horse-power capacity of 40,000.

ANCHORING IN SOUTHERN FAIRWAY.
THREE MASTERS FINED
Three masters of cargo boats were summoned before the Marine Court this morning for anchoring in the Southern fairway and thus causing an obstruction.
Two pleaded guilty and one not guilty.
In respect of the third case Police evidence was to the effect that the anchor was partially submerged and that efforts were being made to pull it up.
The first two accused were fined $10 and the third $5.
