THIRD TRIAL MATCH. FOR INTERPORT.
GREEN BEATS PLAYERS,
[By Sher! Head."]
The third interport trial match took place on th C.C.C. green on Saturday afternoon, and, like the previous two fixtures, proved tame and dull. The players were beaten by the tricky green, and some of the heads were pitiful to watch, even the No. One-or at least one of them not getting beyond the flag at times. Moreover, all seemed upset by the incessant. din of tram- 'cars and passing vehicular traffic, Bot
to mention the continuous cheering at the football match in progress on the Hong Kong.F.C. ground.

The fact that Pendered's rink scored on only eight heads is suffi- cient testimony to the superiority of Wallace's rink. Seldom did the erowd get anything to thrill_over, the general opinion being that it was a wasted afternoon,

The Club, with hardly. a repre- | sentative team in the field, had not much difficulty in beating a Garri son eleven, the latter compiling only 58, Major Lake with 14 being the top scorer.
Honton, with a 44, topped the Club batting list, and Armstrong got 33. Wales was well sat when the innings came to a close, and had made a nice 20.
Wales, Reid and Parker were re. sponsible for the dismissal of the
Army representatives, taking five, three and two wickets respectively. Pearce played a steady game behind the sticke, allowing only a single extra.
