New York, July 81. There are now two billion- dellar, banks in the United States. The Chase National Bank of New York at the end of June, an nounced that it had joined the National City Bank in attaining this distinction, Its total resources amounting to $1,042,513,998.

Under war services, the item in- terest and sinking fund showed a decrease, while other items showed facreases, the net result being, ap- proximately the same as the esti- imate. The decrease in Interest and sinking fund was £202,000, due to the interest dates on the conversion loan of December last being alter- ed from December 16 to February 15. This alteration was necessary in order to spread future interest payments more evenly throughout each financial year. In 1927-28 a full year's interest will have to be paid on this conversion loan aa against only eight months' interest paid on the corresponding debt during 1926-27.
