The number and tonnage of all vessels, i... merchant-vessels, na- tive craft, men-of-war, etc., entered and cleared at the five ports of the Colony during the year 1926, were 86,992 and 40,708,979 respectively. belag an increase of 2,957,412 tong as compared with the year 1925. The total tonnage of merchant vessels arriving and departing was 38,028,630

with 35,032,127 in 1925. Comparing the tonnage of merchant vessels only (ie., all vessels above 50 tons net register) the increase is 2,396,503

An increase of 1,152,281 tons over! 1925 was shown in the total Dutch! tonnage entered and cleared, which amounted to 6,611,768. This com pares with an increase in Britishi tonnage entered and cleared of 1,060,161, and a total tonnage of 19,030,725.
