New York, Tuesday. The statement of Sir Henri Deterding, through his New York representative, has added fuel to the oil companies in connection with "Red" oil.
There have been differences in the Standard Oil Group of Com- panies regarding the attitude to ward Soviet Russia, whose oil the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey refuse to use "until the Soviet recognises the rights of private property." On the con- trary, the Standard Oil Company of New York, and the Vacuum Oil Company have made contracts to purchase oil from Russia.
