OUTLAWS MAKE OFF WITH JUNK.

SEIZURE IN THE DARK.

A junk piracy in the waters of the Colony was reported to the police yesterday, when the master of a trading junk and his two fokis arrived at Lokmachau, after a long

trek overland, The junk was taken by the pirates at Sataukok at 11 p.m., on Friday. The three occupants of the junk were asleep at the time and were taken com-

pletely by surprise. The junk was overrun by several men-it was too dark to

count them. The junk people were certain however, that they saw one man with a revolver and

another with a chopper. These two took charge of the junk's crew, who were driven into the hold where they were made prisoners, Then the junk was called away. Twenty-four hours later the junk crew were taken on deck, and then they found that the junk was lying off Salhoung in Chinese territory. Here the luckless junk people were landed and forced to walk overland, while the pirates sailed away with their junk which valued at $300.
