The report that Hankow has been captured by Feng Yu-hsiang has proved to be premature. The city, however, is now fearing at- tack from the South..
There has been further firing on the Yangtse and an American destroyer has been the target. Both Hankow and Nanking have denied responsibility.
The casualties in the explosion on the junk carrying explosives
are now reported to number two hundred. The vessel was near a
