C. Remedios played a big part in the victory of his side. He pitched with such great effect that the "Tigers" were blanked for five consecutive innings. Remedios has also gained the dis- tinction of being the first pitcher to perform the "shut out" game this season by striking out three batters outright in the "Tigers'" fifh innnig.
Of the ten runs scored by the Recreio, M. Barros claimed four, C Pereira two, while H. Alves, A. Alvares, H. Barros and C. Figueiredo cach got home orice.
It appears that the "Tigers" are not nearly as formidable as the other South China team, the "Dragons." Yesterday they gave the impression of being a "raw" ball team, their fielding being poor and the errors they made were numerous. Yuen and P. Y. Wong made one run each for the "Tigers."
