Hong Kong honoured the birthday of His Majesty the King this morning with a naval and military parade at Happy Valley, sailors, soldiers, and airmen all taking part.

Thanks to the large numbers of His Majesty's Forces present in Hong Kong, the parade was the largest ever held in the history of the Colony. Moreover it was the first in which 'planes have figured.

To-night the usual King's Birthday Ball will be held at Govern- ment House and a brilliant spectacle is promised, rounding off rejole ings unique for impressiveness and enthusiasm.
