A SECOND STOREY TO PAVILION.
The Tournament was organised H.K. CRICKET CLUB, by Tientsin and was first held last year. It proved such a great suc cess that the Association there has been encouraged to organise other for this year. Much has been the heard about Hong Kong by Tientsin Association and an at- tempt is being made to induce Hong Kong to take part in the tourna
ment.
"A grent deni depends upon whe- ther our leading players are willing to brave the trip to Tientsin. The distance is nearly two thousand miles, it necessitates a break at Shanghai and takes about a week. It is doubtful, therefore, if Hong Kong will take part.
A suggestion has been made to revive the Interport with Shanghai, The last one was held in Shanghai in 1923 when the Colony lost. In terest in the game is greater now than it has ever been before and a revival of the Interport would be welcomed.
BRITISH DAVIS CUP :
TEAM.
Mr. S. Powell Blackmore writes from London on April 10:-
Why not select the best available Davis Cup lawn tennis team this year?
I put that query to the Lawn Tennis Association in all serious- ness, because if the strongest team were put into court Great Britain would have an excellent chance of qualifying for the final round of this international competition.
