DEBTOR ABSCONDS?

“QUESTIONABLE CONDUCT"

ALLEGED.

LOCAL BANKRUPTCIES.

Two warrants for the arrest of debtors were made at Saturday's Bankruptcy Court, one in respect of Wan Tit-yung, trading as the Foo Wo Firm, who was to have been examined in bankruptcy but who failed to put in an appear

ance,

Mr. Agassiz (Official Receiver) said that it was clear that the debtor did not intend to attend. He had been warned and had pre- viously attended at his (the Oficial Receiver's) office. It was alleged against him that he had been guilty of-very questionable conduct regarding certain money loan associations and apparently he had considered that discretion was the better part of valour and had absconded.

Mr. Justice Wood issued a war- vant for the debtor's arrest.

The other warrant was for the

arrest of Pang Lok-chen, partner in Chik Wah and Company, whose public examination had com- menced at a previous hearing and who was warned to hold himself in readiness to attend again.

A warrant had previously been issued for the arrest of another partner in this debtor firm, but he had absconded.
