N.Y.K. STAFF DINNER.

The annual staff dinner of the Nippon Yusen Kaisha London office was held at the Trocadero Restaurant, with Mr. James Blair, the manager, in the chair. The company, which numbered over one hundred, included wives of the married members of the staff, who were present at the special invitation of Mr. and Mrs. Blair. This is an innovation in- troduced since Mr. Blair assumed the managership two years ago, and is highly appreciated. The opportunity was taken of wishing "bon-voyage" to Mr. Sheda, who has been sub-manager. at the London office since 1923, and has just been appointed manager of the N.Y.K. Bombay office.
